Design for Healthcare Professionals
DVT Awareness by Design provides hands-on resources for healthcare professionals,
patients, their friends and family. With educational tools as interactive as they
are engaging, healthcare and community leaders can creatively impart a vital understanding
of the serious risks of DVT.
Join us with your healthcare community or hospital by participating in DVT Awareness
by Design. To help you show your support for DVT Awareness, the Coalition has created
a DVT Awareness by Design Kit. The design kit is a tool to encourage you and your
healthcare community to get involved in raising DVT awareness by decorating socks.
You and your healthcare community will have the opportunity to send us
photos of your DVT designed socks. Your photos will be displayed in the DVT Awareness
by Design Photo Album on the Coalition Web site. Select photo entries will be displayed
on the Coalition home-page, as well.
DVT affects nearly every medical discipline – including oncology, cardiology, orthopedics,
surgery and the emergency room. Education and awareness is vital to improving patient
outcomes.

The DVT Awareness by Design Kit includes:

- Disposable cameras for internal postings and to share with the Coalition's growing community of supporters
