The Coalition to Prevent DVT wants to hear from you.

If you would like to share your story, fill out the required fields below and let us know how DVT has impacted you.

Below are a few suggested questions to help get your story started.

  • Do you have a pre-determined risk factor? (i.e., Cancer, Heart or Respiratory Disease, etc.)
  • Were you hospitalized? If so, how long?
  • Are you currently being treated for DVT?
  • Did the DVT result in a pulmonary embolism (PE)?

Ultimately, this is your story so please include whatever you feel is important. Click here to share your story.

Your story will become a part of the Coalition to Prevent DVT archives. Your stories, thoughts and ideas will help shape future programs however due to the volume of responses we receive we are unable to respond to individual submissions.

Have you or someone you know experienced a DVT? You’re not alone. Certain people may be at a higher risk for DVT; however, it can occur in almost anyone — a friend, family member, patient or colleague.

Click on the link below to view a collection of personal accounts of experiences with deep-vein thrombosis or DVT. Some of the authors are well-known figures; others are people just like you. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences prove that DVT can strike almost anyone at any age and because of any of a number of risk factors.
